Starfish: Coronavirus Update
We at Starfish by Hobsons are continuing to monitor the latest information regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). As you are aware, the situation continues to evolve, and many educational institutions have taken pragmatic measures to protect their students, faculty, administrators, and staff.
For the safety of our valued clients and our consulting and account management staff, we have decided to suspend all travel for our staff for the foreseeable future. This temporary travel disruption will not impact our partnership with you or our service levels in any way.
Our company has operating models and flexible infrastructure designed for onsite and remote client engagements, and Starfish is built on resilient, secured, and mobile-responsive cloud-based technologies that scale to meet our clients’ increasing demand — both on campus and anywhere students, staff, and administrators choose to access.
We are here to support you and your mission to serve students, especially under the current circumstances. We offer the following online resources:
- How Starfish Can Help With Emergency Response and Remote Learning – a collection of response strategies and tactics shared by Starfish community institutions including NYU, Penn State, and others.
- Student Success and Remote Learning: Connect and Support Students in a Transition to Online Learning – learn how NYU, Florida Atlantic University, and Pierce College are using Starfish to support their students during the transition to remote learning in this recorded webinar discussion.
- Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response Group – a user group in the Starfish Compass Community for Starfish users to share ideas, ask questions, or learn more.
- Beyond the Food Pantry: Supporting #RealCollege Students During COVID19 – guidance from The Hope Center on how institutions can support students during this time.
Please contact your Starfish account management and consulting staff with any questions. We would also like to hear from you regarding your plans to address the COVID-19 crisis. We pledge to keep you informed as we continue to evaluate the situation.
