The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has successfully implemented the Starfish® Enterprise Success Platform™ to support a campus-wide initiative aimed at boosting its six-year graduation rate to 70 percent by 2017. UNL’s student success efforts are designed to develop and promote a comprehensive network of support, advising, and enrichment services that improve undergraduate retention, time to degree, and academic engagement.
Youngstown State University has identified a number of focus areas aimed at helping the institution improve graduation and course completion rates. Although YSU attracts bright students and provides a number of highly competitive programs, many students encounter challenges in achieving their goals. Ninety percent of the students are commuters, 56 percent are first-generation, and 88 percent receive financial aid.
Harper College is a two-year community college in Illinois serving nearly 35,000 students annually. The College launched the Project Success program as a two-year pilot beginning in the fall 2011. A primary component of the program was the use of the Starfish platform to identify at-risk students as early as possible and connect them with support resources on campus.

At Quinsigamond Community College (QCC), the combination of an Online Liaison Service and Starfish is helping online students be more successful. QCC leverages Starfish to improve communication processes between the online liaison, online students needing assistance, and faculty members, with positive results on student performance and engagement across 200 online classes each semester. During this webinar, QCC will discuss how the online process with Starfish evolved and the success stories related to this service.
Since 2011, the University of Texas at El Paso has been instrumental in the development of the Starfish EARLY ALERT tool known as "Zoom-In." Today, analysis shows that students in course sections that use Zoom-In have significantly higher pass rates than their counterparts, with high-risk students reaping the most benefits. For their efforts, UTEP was named a 2014 Starfish 360 Award Winner.
