The American Council on Education’s Center for Policy Research and Strategy (CPRS), in partnership with Hobsons recently completed the first of three studies exploring the outcomes of community college students. The report, Improving the Odds: An Empirical Look at the Factors That Influence Upward Transfer, explores the relationship between nine key factors and upward transfer for direct –from-high-school enrollees. It then offers five strategies for improving the odds of successful upward transfer.

In this webinar, Dr. Jonathan Turk and Wei-Lin Chen, from ACE, discuss the study findings and are joined by Dr. Ellen Wagner, Hobsons’ VP of Research, and Dr. David Schuler, Superintendent of Township High School District 214 in Illinois, for a discussion on strategies for K-12 high school educators, college faculty and staff, as well as state and federal policymakers, for increasing upward transfer rates and student success.
