Hobsons is pleased to recognize Ramapo College in New Jersey as the Admissions and Student Success winner for the 2016 Hobsons Education Advances Award. Stephen M. Smith, President of Advising and Admissions at Hobsons, announced the winner on the final day of Hobsons University in Las Vegas. The award included $2,500 to support student success programming efforts.
Ramapo College is using Starfish by Hobsons to encourage student success and has seen an increase in the number of students meeting regularly with their advisors each semester. The early-alert system replaced their older paper-and-pencil system creating collaboration, communication, and student support in real-time.
Today, Ramapo College is on track to reach its goal of a 90 percent retention rate and 75 percent six-year graduation rate.
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and the University of Missouri were honored as finalists. Each institution will receive $1,000 toward their programs.
Hobsons’ Education Advances Awards program is designed to recognize the innovation that is possible when a school combines people, process, and technology to make a difference in the lives of students.
