Starfish by Hobsons to Present at ATD 2018 Data & Analytics Summit

Increasing Student Success with Measurable Interventions

COLLEGE PARK, MD - September 6, 2018 - Hobsons, the education technology leader and company behind Starfish, will today present at the 2018 Data & Analytics Summit, hosted by Achieving the Dream.

The two-day summit, attended by college administrators, faculty and staff, provides keen insight on how to use analytics strategically to optimize student success. Starfish by Hobsons, a leader in using data and analytics to increase and measure student success, will be in attendance at the Summit.

Graham Tracey, Senior Director of Starfish Services, will present “Desperate Measures: Data to Action, Action to Impact” at 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. EST. The presentation will provide a framework and the structural elements to design an effective measurement strategy for student success. Attendees will leave with an understanding of how to identify and develop clear and effective measures for interventions on their campus.

“Institutions across the country struggle to measure tangible results when it comes to student success on their campus,” said Howard Bell, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Starfish.  “Starfish by Hobsons is proud to provide the necessary data and analytics tools to assist institutions in measuring how their student success initiatives are impacting their students.”

The Starfish Enterprise Success Platform helps more than 450 colleges and universities scale their student success efforts so more students can achieve their academic and life goals. By helping higher education institutions leverage reliable data to pinpoint areas of concern and opportunity within courses and student populations, as well as institutional programs and services, Starfish connects these findings to action by identifying at-risk students, connecting students with valuable resources, and building academic plans to achieve student goals with the least momentum lost.
