Hobsons EMEA, the international student recruitment consultancy, are pleased to announce plans to expand their International Student Survey (ISS) 2017 to include European university partners. As part of their growth and insight strategy, Hobsons will start collecting responses for next year’s Survey in January 2017 and are looking for more European Universities to take part. If your university might be interested in taking part please complete the online form or contact Paul Raybould, Director of Marketing and Market Intelligence at Hobsons EMEA.
Each year, Hobsons publishes its annual Survey of almost 44,000 prospective international students, which specifically focuses on students in the early decision-making stages before they enroll at an institution.
Jeremy Cooper, Managing Director of Hobsons EMEA, said: “We are delighted to announce that we are seeking to partner with European universities to participate in our International Student Survey 2017. This will provide further valuable insight into motivations, decision-making criteria, TNE (transnational education), and communication preferences of prospective international students.”
“The findings from last year’s International Student Survey show us that universities must become more understanding and responsive to what students want from their investment in higher education.”
The 2016 ISS report finds that the old ‘analogue’ approach to international recruitment is no longer fit for purpose. Traditional modes of international student recruitment don’t scale well into new markets and expect prospective students to conform to a narrowly-defined enquiry process. The report advocates a new approach, which involves analysing prospective students to understand their goals, motivations and decision-making, along with using student intelligence and integrated technologies to attract the right students.
Hobsons is an international student recruitment consultancy which helps students identify their strengths, explore careers, create academic plans, match to best-fit educational opportunities, and finish what they start. Through their various solutions, they enable thousands of educational institutions to improve post-secondary and career planning, admissions and enrolment management, student success and advising for millions of students around the globe. These solutions by Hobsons include Agile.i, Starfish, Radius and Naviance.
Universities interested in taking part should complete the online form or contact Paul Raybould, Director of Marketing and Market Intelligence at Hobsons EMEA.
