As students and educators across the country gear up for a new school year, we’re looking back on the 2014 Naviance Summer Institute in Palm Springs, CA.
For me, Naviance Summer Institute is one of the major highlights of the year. It’s a chance to spend quality time with several hundred Naviance Network members in a relaxing setting, but with an intense focus on exchanging best practices that help schools ensure that more students are ready for success in college, career, and life.
We saw more than 600 attendees this year in Palm Springs, California. The weather was as hot as we expected, but we still managed to enjoy a cookout and movie on the lawn on the first night, before launching into more than 50 sessions across two full days. Attendees came from schools in 36 states and 12 countries, across 5 continents – including school and district administrators, counseling directors, counselors, teachers, registrars, and office managers representing both public and private schools of all types and sizes. Our members are doing phenomenal work with more than 7,000,000 students, and I really enjoy hearing the personal stories many members bring to share each summer.
Plans are well underway for Summer Institute 2015, and we hope you can join us from July 6-9, 2015 in Tucson, Arizona!
