First-generation students comprise over one-third of the incoming freshman class at colleges nationwide. But what are we doing to help them succeed? Hobsons’ President of Advising and Admissions, Stephen Smith, will be discussing this topic at the upcoming National College Access Network (NCAN) Conference in Detroit, Michigan. Our panel will feature leaders from College Possible, The College Board, Jack Cooke Kent Foundation, and Bottom Line. Participants will explore tried-and-true examples of how organizations throughout the country are assisting students with college exploration, college applications, and college choice along with succeeding in college once they enroll.
