For more than a decade, we’ve welcomed our K-12 partners to Naviance Summer Institute and our higher education partners to Hobsons University to learn, teach, share best practices, and network with colleagues from around the country. Now I’m pleased to announce that we are bringing these two marquee events together under one roof: Hobsons Summer Institute 2018!
Whether you are working in K-12 college and career readiness or higher education matching and admissions, student success, or analytics, we promise the same high-quality content you’ve come to expect from our summer events. Next year’s conference, scheduled for July 16-18, 2018, in Palm Desert, California, will include amazing keynote speakers, presentations by our expert customers, product training and insights delivered by Hobsons staff, our annual Education Advances Awards presentation, and other exciting events.
Within HSI, we will offer focused tracks for more than 900 school counselors, teachers, K-12 administrators, admissions counselors, advisors, deans, and provosts. By welcoming both K-12 and higher education professionals to one unified conference, HSI 2018 also provides a unique opportunity to hear from and network with education professionals who use Hobsons’ award-winning solutions to help students succeed at every stage of their educational journey. You’ll be able to network with your K-12 or higher education counterparts throughout the three-day conference, engaging with each other in joint sessions, during keynotes and other events, as well as informally in the Innovation and Learning Lab and the Hobsons Hub.
I’m also pleased to announce that we will hear from two excellent keynote speakers at the 2018 conference: Former White House Fellow Wes Moore, who authored the New York Times bestseller The Other Wes Moore, exploring how a man with his same name and background ended up in prison while he embraced education as his ticket to success, and Professor and Sociologist Sara Goldrick-Rab, Ph.D., who has advocated for state and federal legislation to lower the price of college and is one of the architects of President Obama’s free college proposal, America’s College Promise.
Early bird registration is now open, so I hope you will register today. We’re looking forward to seeing you next summer!
