The role of an admissions counselor can be exciting, ful lling, and rewarding. Many counselors are recent graduates and alumni of the institution which they professionally represent. What could be more exhilarating than a job where you are able to travel around and enthusiastically tell interested high school students how great your alma mater is? Even counselors who end up at institutions which they didn’t attend as students are nevertheless attracted to the mission, campus culture, or reputation.
