We know attending Naviance Summer Institute is a big investment of time and money for you and your school or district. But, rest assured that this year’s event is shaping up to be one of our best conferences to date. Here are fives things you can look forward to at NSI 2015.
1. Inspiring Keynote
We couldn’t be more thrilled than to welcome Arel Moodie as the NSI 2015 keynote speaker. The bestselling author of Your Starting Point for Student Success, Arel speaks to schools, educators, and students around the nation on how get into college, persist through college, and succeed in school and life. Arel has been featured in The New York Times, USA Today, Forbes, Inc., and in many other media outlets and publications. His inspiring message is sure to set a positive and energetic tone for the rest of the conference.
2. Hands-on Learning
Naviance Summer Institute is the most comprehensive in-person Naviance learning experience that we offer. Pre-conference courses and informational sessions delivered in-person by Naviance trainers, consultants, support specialists, product managers, and power users will provide you with “how to” learning on all aspects of Naviance and other Hobsons K-12 solutions. You‘ll come away with tips and tricks that you can apply immediately to your day-to-day activities.
3. Increased Productivity
For three dedicated days of uninterrupted learning, you’ll discover ways to become more efficient and productive in your role. You’ll learn valuable best practices in pre-conference courses, general sessions, and throughout the conference that you can use and take back to your school or district to share with your peers.
With attendees representing all corners of the world, the conference is an excellent chance to meet other Naviance users, higher education professionals, Hobsons education partners, and Hobsons staff. Events like the Welcome Reception, Educator’s College Fair, User Experience Lab, networking lunch, and partner exhibits will offer ample opportunities for networking and building professional connections.
5. Team Building
The conference provides the opportunity to gather with your team to set goals and objectives for the upcoming school year. Together, you can brainstorm ideas for implementation, optimize your existing deployment, discuss how to tailor best practices to your specific needs, and talk openly about successes and lessons learned.
NSI creates a “buzz” among the Naviance Network that is contagious, exciting attendees to go back and make a difference with their students and get off on the right foot at the start of the academic year. At the end of the week, you’ll be eager to put into practice what you’ve learned, and share your experiences and findings with your colleagues to help them drive Naviance adoption and awareness within your school community.
