As a global company, Hobsons is uniquely positioned to provide insights into key issues affecting educational institutions and student populations around the world. Recently, our teams in EMEA and APAC published survey research that sheds new light onto the challenges facing institutions that are looking to attract international students.
From these results, we hope institutions will benefit from learning best practices in student-centric engagement to inform their international student recruitment, admissions and retention strategies.
The annual International Student Survey, which Hobsons conducts in partnership with universities throughout the UK and Australia, looks at the perceptions of past, current, and prospective students to gain insight into the competitive global recruitment market.
This year’s survey received responses from 45,543 prospective international students from 210 countries, of whom 17,336 had enquired to UK institutions. In its new report, “Value and the Modern International Student,” Hobsons analyzes international students’ perceptions of value and provides a detailed set of recommendations for actions the UK can take to stand out in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
