2020 Survey of Admission Leaders: A Year of Unknowns

2020 has been a year filled with unknowns and that certainly holds true for admission offices across the country. This year, Inside Higher Ed conducted their annual survey of admission officers with the primary focus of how the coronavirus has disrupted the recruitment and admission process.

Intersect by Hobsons was proud to sponsor this year’s survey. Some of the findings include:

  • A majority of institutions that went test-optional or test-blind during the pandemic do not expect to ever restore a standardized testing requirement in admission.
  • A majority of institutions not only did not fill their classes by May 1 (the traditional deadline) but did not fill their classes by July 1.
  • Most institutions expect enrollment to decrease this year.
