Georgia Bridge Requirements

Track Requirements in the BRIDGE Act

Ensuring your students’ success is critical. Naviance enables Georgia districts to incorporate BRIDGE bill activities into a more comprehensive approach to college, career and life readiness programming. Through a research-backed approach, students can discover a career area in preparation for college or entering the workforce that improves student outcomes.

The BRIDGE Act

The Georgia BRIDGE Act (House Bill 400) supports middle and high school students as they set and reach postsecondary goals. The Act outlines college, career, and life readiness activities that students across the state must engage in throughout the school year.

Naviance capabilities align to essential competencies in the College, Career, and Life Readiness (CCLR) Framework

The research-backed CCLR Framework includes six core competencies students must develop to be adequately prepared for life after high school. Naviance gives you the tools to help students strengthen each one.

State Funding

Georgia offers School Improvement Grants to recipients identified as Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI), Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI), and CSI Promise schools. These one-year grants support efforts outlined in school improvement plans and help provide digital learning resources to staff and students. In addition to grant funding for technology, School Improvement Grants also provide professional learning opportunities, school effectiveness specialists, and targeted workshops.

Support Career and College Preparation

To reach their goals, students need a proactive approach that equips them to identify their strengths, pursue their ambitions and achieve their goals. Student success in Georgia districts begins with three critical skill sets for students: Social and Emotional Skills, Interpersonal Skills and Transition Skills.

Using the Naviance College, Career and Life Readiness (CCLR) Framework®, students are prepared in these areas to persevere and overcome challenges that help them reach their goals, in addition to providing essential college, career and academic planning resources. This practical tool set helps Georgia schools and districts define, measure, and track success for their students, driving student engagement and better outcomes.
