Software Architect

 

Job Summary

Currently, we have an outstanding opportunity for a talented Software Architect to join our growing product development team. The Software Architect at Hobsons will be involved in significant development projects for our market-leading K-12 SaaS application. Your work will focus on crafting the right architecture to create solutions that provide value to the customer and collaborate with the scrum teams to plan and execute projects accordingly.

 

This position will be located in: Arlington, VA (Clarendon Metro)

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Design product architecture to solve customer problems 
  • Collaborate with the software teams to ensure the architecture and best practices areincorporated
  • Collaborate closely with product management and user experience during discovery, designand development
  • Stay current on technology trends and identify ways to innovate our products in theeducation space

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software development roles​
  • Proficient with JavaScript (React, NodeJS, TypeScript), and/or, PHP, Java, HTML, relational databases and web-based software development
  • Customer-oriented and experience with understanding the competitivelandscape, industry, and customer needs driving product development initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience using metrics to support teams and strategies
  • Track record of delivering enterprise software, preferably SaaS applications
