New Business Inside Sales, Higher Education

 

Job Summary

The New Business Inside Sales primary job responsibilities are to generate net new business from colleges & universities who are not currently a customer. The Inside Salesperson will manage a territory based on geographic parameters.

 

This position will be located in: Cincinnati, OH (Sharonville OH)

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

    • Generate net new business from colleges and universities
    • Formulate a sales strategy and manage the sales campaign into new accounts and leverage the existing successes of similar current customers
    • Work cooperatively with Sales Leadership & Sales Enablement in developing strategies to add opportunities to the sales funnel
  • Maintain account ownership for a specified period after the initial sale and will have upsell opportunity during that timeframe
  • Develop an annual business plan and provide quarterly updates
  • Monthly revenue forecast, sales pipeline dynamics, and opportunity progression within the pipeline is required
  • The position will have two elements constituting the On-Target-Earning (OTE) a base salary and a variable pay; variable pay portion of the On-Target-Earning (OTE) will be a function of attainment against quota assignment (commission)

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in sales
  • Proven inside sales experience
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
