Account Manager – (London, UK)
Job Summary
The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Search Service Account Manager serves as the initial point of contact for new clients in the European Union for sales and support purposes. The Account Manager is tasked with promoting the TOEFL Search Service recruitment solution within the entire territory as defined by their manager. Responsibilities will primarily include identifying leads, prospecting leads to develop sales opportunities, communicating effectively with those leads to build trust, and closing new business. Support responsibilities will primarily include assisting clients with issues that they experience while using the TOEFL Search Service user interface.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Target new business opportunities
- Communicate with prospects to build trust with the goal of understanding any problems they are facing in recruiting students for their university international programs
- Maximise relationship-building activity to secure interest in the TOEFL Search Service, as well as Hobsons’ international products
- Resolve client issues and assure client satisfaction, including reporting and escalating issues to the appropriate contact responsible for issue resolution.
- Develop follow-up sales opportunities for both the TOEFL Search Service and other Hobsons business units
- Manage the customer experience and delivery process after the initial sale
- Interact with clients on a regular basis to gain an understanding of their recruiting strategies
- Provide ongoing customer support and service to key accounts
- Provide an excellent customer experience leading to new sales and high client retention rates
- Document sales and support activities in SalesForce.com as defined by manager
- Follow ETS (Educational Testing Service) guidelines for customer support, sales, and privacy of information
- Communicate with ETS, when necessary, to resolve customer issues
- Seek help from different technology groups/management within Hobsons to correct issues affecting customer experience
Minimum Qualifications
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification for this position is:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Knowledge of the education market is beneficial
- Possess excellent phone and presentation skills
- Ability to give compelling presentations and the tenacity to reach decision makers
- Willingness to work in a team environment and the discipline to achieve sales targets
Skills, Specialised Knowledge and Abilities
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including proficiency as a writer, strong listening skills, and articulate speaker
- Strong organisational skills
Physical & Mental Demands
- Ability to analyse unique situations and develop appropriate response
- Ability to deal with difficult clients who may have had bad experiences in the past with customer support from ETS
