Irvine USD and San Ramon Valley USD Leverage Naviance to Ensure Student Success
Districts select Naviance to help students increase college & career readiness with centralized student performance monitoring
December 01, 2011
Arlington, VA – Naviance, the leading provider of measurable student success solutions for K-12 schools and districts, announces its partnership with Irvine Unified School District (USD) and San Ramon Valley Unified School District (USD) to arm their high schools and selected middle schools with Naviance Succeed®, a platform that helps schools promote college and career readiness through increased collaboration, rigor and transparency. Both districts purchased Succeed to accomplish two common goals:
- Improve student and family engagement
- Collect, centralize, and analyze student performance data to increase college and career readiness.
Districts struggle to measure student success because they do not have a single point of access for student performance monitoring. Staff and families need comprehensive individual information, like student goals, behaviors, learning styles and extracurricular activities—along with traditional performance data—to make informed decisions when guiding students. It is even more difficult to track student success once they matriculate beyond high school.
Rob Stockberger, director of secondary education, San Ramon Valley USD echoed these concerns. “Tracking and managing student data is challenging, particularly given the range of constituents involved in recording it. Naviance Succeed streamlines information from students, families and staff through a single, web-based tool, allowing the district to constantly drive and measure student success from a centralized system.”
Irvine and San Ramon funded their purchases through Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF) and Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) federal grants, respectively.
Irvine USD and San Ramon Valley USD join other major California school districts using Naviance — including Covina-Valley USD, Modesto City Schools and San Juan USD. Nearly 5,400 schools worldwide rely on Naviance Succeed to help students make better choices and improve achievement.
