NTC K-12 Schools and Districts

The National Transcript Center (NTC) is a secure, national service that improves the efficiency, reliability, cost, and security of exchanging student records/transcripts and other official documents. NTC member institutions log in to a user-friendly, browser-based application to send, receive, manage, track, and import their electronic transcripts. NTC has two types of memberships available for K-12 districts: Standard and Premium.

NTC Standard Membership provides a connection to NTC in just a few days and includes the following benefits:

  • Receive transcripts and student records electronically from any NTC member.
  • Send transcripts and student records to any academic institution in the country — whether or not the recipient is an NTC member.
  • Request transcripts and student records from any school in the country, track transcripts and requests, deliver transcripts securely to any employer, and much more.

 

NTC Premium Membership includes all the benefits of Standard Membership, plus:

  • Exchange transcript data in PESC XML or SPEEDE EDI formats.
  • Transcript data is translated into the recipient's preferred data format and delivered electronically.
  • View transcripts as PDFs and/or download transcript data in your preferred data format for import into your student information system.

 

Currently, NTC has statewide contracts with PK-12 state education agencies in Iowa, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming — with many more on the way. Whether your district is in one of these states or not, you can benefit from the workflow management and transcript delivery tools made available through Naviance eDocs.
