Preparing the world-changers of tomorrow for the 21st century workforce is no easy task. At Hobsons, we understand the complexity leaders face as they create an environment to support student success and institutional effectiveness. We work directly with more than 7,500 schools, colleges, and universities worldwide to help them achieve their goals. While the goal may seem simple, the task can be challenging in today’s climate of limited resources and decreased funding.
Hobsons’ unique education solutions have multiple capabilities to support state policymakers in collecting, interpreting, utilizing, and sharing meaningful data about student success to create policy in education. Our solutions allow students to develop personalized academic and career plans based on their individual goals, interests, abilities, and learning styles while enabling institutions to connect with students that are the right fit and help them stay on track.
Here are just a few examples of how others have made a difference in college and career readiness:
Minnesota Office of Higher Education partnered with Hobsons to implement a college and career planning initiative funded under the US Department of Education’s College Access Challenge Grant program. Initiated in the fall of 2008, the program now reaches 132 public schools.
In Colorado, Hobsons facilitates data sharing between some of the state’s high schools and post-secondary institutions. Currently, colleges use Naviance to inform high schools of application, scholarship, and admission status, with plans to expand to enrollment and graduation data.
