H'Oscars is an annual Hobsons tradition recognizing staff for their achievements and commitment to advancing education throughout the previous year. After attending this year’s events, I am left with the feeling of accomplishment and pride. Pride, indeed, because it gives me a chance to speak with staff about our products, our successes, and our vision for the year ahead.

This year’s theme focused on one of our key brand equities “passion” and marked the first year we have ever invited an outside guest to deliver the keynote. I am honored and pleased to report that our guest Sir Ken Robinson opened the occasion with a bang!

Sir Ken Robinson’s address discussed the necessity of pairing passion with work ethic in order to revolutionize education. A formula that is not only vital for institutional effectiveness but also imperative for student success.

Every year, this formula comes to a head during the H’Oscars Awards Ceremony, when myself as well as the rest of our executive leadership team join together to celebrate and acknowledge the hard work of staff spanning the U.S., EMEA, and APAC divisions. There is no doubt that their passion and enthusiasm for education and technology is what drives our success.

At Hobsons, our mission statement is not just something we put to paper. We are passionate about education and believe it is important to communicate that passion as a vital component of our organization. When we combine our passion for education with that of our clients, we create an environment of opportunity. This environment ultimately promotes student achievement and institutional success, truly advancing education to create the world-changers of tomorrow.
