(Find out what's going on at Hobsons U 2013)
From start to finish, Hobsons University 2012 was jam-packed with outstanding presentations, consultations, and events that put the country back into Nashville. More than 1,000 higher education folks, representing conference guests from across the nation and international countries, attended the conference at the Gaylord Opryland this week. The first day of Hobsons University featured pre-conference workshops and culminated with a "Rock Your School Spirit" Welcome Reception.
This year's keynote, Scott Jaschik of Inside Higher Ed, kicked-off the second day in which Scott forecasted his predictions for the challenges facing higher education.
We can't forget to mention, Hobsons' very own President of Higher Education, Todd Gibby. Todd's address on Tuesday provided an overview of Hobsons' new brand and gave insight into where Hobsons is heading in the next year.
Last but not least, the pinnacle of Hobsons University 2012 was undoubtedly the Excellence Awards Reception. This year's reception was "western saloon" themed and included Jack Daniel's sliders, dancing, and an ocean of cowboy hats, boots, and belt buckles.
