Throughout the year, Hobsons employees from the U.S., EMEA, and APAC divisions collaborate in a real beyond borders tradition to raise monies for PLAN, an international charity that promotes and advances education in some of the most impoverished countries in the world. Staff coordinated activities include chili cook-offs, PLANcake Breakfast, ice cream socials, auctions, charity days, Oreo eating contests, Flip Flop Fridays, and we can’t forget to mention our weekly beverage cart!
June is a special month for Hobsons because it represents a time when employees ban together to promote education across the globe.
June is International PLAN Month at Hobsons and commenced with our annual PLAN trip – Hobsons sponsors this excursion in support of PLAN each year. Hobsons staff have traveled to Namibia, Nicaragua, Malaysia, Guatemala, Laos, Kenya, Vietnam, Bolivia, Ghana, Rwanda, and the Dominican Republic to build schools, deliver supplies collected via staff donations, and more! This year, eight Hobsons employees trekked to Nepal.
We invite you to follow their journey and share in their stirring experience by visiting their day-by-day blog. Lots of pictures included!
Don’t be shy. Leave a comment to show your support for PLAN and promoting education to students around the world.
