Before starting as the Financial Controller at Hobsons, Georgina worked in private practice, in a number of commerce roles, and also as Financial Controller at Hudsons (Recruitment) in London.
Georgina enjoys the commercial focus of working at Hobsons, and likes managing a finance department. She says that even though Hobsons is a global company, it retains an independent and diverse culture, which is reflected in the different divisions of the Hobsons Australia office.
As well as maintaining budgets, preparing quarterly forecasts and reporting to head office, the finance team strives to assist the business in meeting its goals.
Georgina's varied responsibilities include overseeing the day to day operations of finance, covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashflow requirements, finance reporting (management and statutory), in addition to working closely with the Executive Board assisting in all aspects of business management and development.
