David Harrington

Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Australia

David Harrington is the managing director of the Asia-Pacific and Australia division of Hobsons based in Melbourne, Australia. He began his career in Hobsons’ London office as a fresh-faced graduate in the advertising/sales department working on graduate recruitment titles. He then moved to Australia to develop the division into a large-scale student recruitment solution.
 
David’s leadership style is established on a foundation of integrity and respect. He strives to cultivate his talented team into skilled, confident leaders of tomorrow who are just as passionate about creating effective and innovative recruitment solutions as he is.
 
He is a dedicated cricket fan and food and wine enthusiast, and he welcomes intriguing conversation at all times.
 
David resides in Melbourne, Australia, with his wife, Parool, teenage daughter, Maya, and son, Luke.
 
David holds a degree in chemistry from the University of Sheffield.


Georgina Tiller

FINANCIAL CONTROLler

Georgina Tiller is responsible for Hobsons APAC's Central Services Department which includes Finance, Reporting (Management, Group, Statutory), Treasury, Human Resources and Office Management. She manages her team with a focus on detail and the drive for continual professional development while working with all departments to implement new products and services and increase revenue.

Prior to joining Hobsons in 2006, she was the financial controller for Hudsons Recruitment based in London and has worked at GlaxoSmithKline and in private practice.



Georgina enjoys travelling, photography, playing hockey and spending time with her husband Kieren and daughter Grace.

Georgina has a commerce degree from Flinders University in Adelaide and is a Chartered Accountant.


Janee Heffernan

General Manager, hobsons enrolment management solutions

Janee Heffernan manages the growth and development of Hobsons' Enrolment Management Solutions. She brings a wealth of experience to Hobsons in developing large teams within a fast-paced environment and is committed to the strategic success of the business.

Prior to joining the executive team in 2002, Janee served as team leader at Hobsons' Service Centre and directed the National Australia Bank's telemarketing division. She attributes her experience in each of these roles to her leadership style and core belief that success equates to dedication.

When Janee is away from the office, she spends her time finding the best Yum Cha in Melbourne with her husband Andrew and two small children.


Garth McGiddy

GENERAL MANAGER, ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS

Garth McGiddy is responsible for the success of Hobsons’ Enterprise Solutions.  A firm believer in the partnership approach, Garth works closely with existing and potential clients to develop holistic solutions that address the changing needs of the K-12 and Higher Education sectors using cutting-edge technologies coupled with innovative services.

Since 2000, Garth has held a variety of roles across the organisation including positions as director of strategic development and head of operations. Additionally, Garth's career has included director of operations for a digital media agency and various management opportunities in the telecoms sector.

In his free time, Garth can be found reading a good book, exploring new cultures or cheering for Manchester United.

Garth is currently completing a Master of Applied Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Adelaide.


Fabian Marrone

MARKETING DIRECTOR

Fabian Marrone is responsible for Hobsons APAC's Marketing Department. A new department within Hobsons, the focus and direction of the team is building brand awareness at a corporate, product and service level across APAC with a commitment to excellence in client communications.

Fabian’s teams focus on integrating sales and marketing, adding value to clients through thought leadership and maximising the use of traditional and digital marketing channels to engage with stakeholders.

Prior to joining Hobsons in 2013, Fabian was the Head of Marketing Services for Adecco UK & Ireland based in London. He previously worked for a global software and consulting services provider, working across the UK, North America, Australia and Sri Lanka.

Fabian enjoys travel and experiencing other cultures, on the more active side he is a keen runner and enjoys team sports. In his spare time he enjoys relaxing with close friends and family.

Fabian has a Business Double Degree in Marketing Management and Administrative Management from the University of South Australia, as well as TAFE diplomas in Graphic Design and Web Design. Recently Fabian graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Digital Marketing from the London Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing.


Andy Nicol

business development director – Asia

Andy joined Hobsons in 2010 and is responsible for business development in Asia.  In his role, Andy identifies and evaluates new business opportunities, launches new products and services in the region and oversees the Asia Regional Office. 
 
Prior to Hobsons, Andy held a number of senior international roles at a range of UK universities. 
 
Andy resides in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with his wife Louise and 18-month-old daughter, Emily.  Outside of Hobsons, Andy has a passion for international travel, enjoys catching up with friends over a beer and is an aspiring (if reluctant) runner.
 
Andy holds a degree in Russian studies from Newcastle University, as well as a masters degree in international marketing from Strathclyde University in the UK.  Andy actively participates in the National Association of International Educators (NAFSA) and the European Association for International Education (EAIE).  


Davorin Vrdoljak

General Manager, Publishing and Technology Solutions

Davorin Vrdoljak drives the success of Hobsons APAC's Publishing and Technology divisions. His role manages data collection, editorial, marketing, research services and digital technologies for student recruitment. 

Davorin first joined Hobsons in 2000 as the production manager and has since broadened his responsibility. Prior to Hobsons, Davorin was pre-press manager at Pacific Access (now Sensis), directing the production of $0.5 billion worth of advertising content.

He is proud of the fact that while Hobsons has made an aggressive expansion into the online space, the company has maintained the quality and high standard of existing print products.
