Implementation Analyst (Sydney, Australia)
We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the full-time position of Implementation Analyst to join our Enterprise Solutions team.
The Role
The Implementation Analyst, based in our Sydney office, works in a small team supporting Hobsons Kindergarten to Year 12 Student Learning and Academic Management Systems. This is a technical role focused around implementation of our Edumate system for new clients.
A large component of the role is data migration from existing school management systems into Edumate. Your SQL skills, data manipulation prowess, ability to identify and resolve data issues, and talent for developing repeatable scripted solutions for data migration will see you succeed in this role. As a data expert, this role will also see you undertaking specialist report development requested by our customers.
In addition to data migration, you will develop a thorough understanding of Hobsons Edumate, enabling you to be the key technical resource for the setup and configuration for new clients. You will become a key advisor to our consultants, and our support team in the setup, configuration and data management within Edumate.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Strong SQL skills including complex query development, stored procedures, database schemas, batch scripting in a range of database platforms, preferably including DB2
• Experience in manipulating data in staging tools such as MS Excel, MS Access or similar
• Strong development skills using PHP, Python or similar tool sets
• Experience in taking requirements through to solution design
• Experience in reports development, including data extraction and report presentation
• Ability in problem solving and solutions formulation
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A tertiary qualification in a technical field (preferred but not essential)
Additional Desirable Skills
• Expertise and domain knowledge in the K-12 space
• Expertise in requirements gathering and distilling down to achievable technical solutions
