Chief Financial Officer

As the newest member of our executive team, Bobby joined Hobsons in July 2012 as CFO/COO, and is based in Cincinnati. Bobby is charged with ensuring that the Hobsons executive team has the right information and support to drive business performance, and to help direct the company’s resources to best maximize student success and institutional effectiveness.

Bobby joined Hobsons after nearly ten years in various executive positions at Thomson Reuters. He has accumulated a wealth of experience navigating complex organizations and business situations, and worked in numerous businesses and locations, including New York City, London, and Switzerland. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, he designed cars at Ford Motor Company and worked with real rocket scientists at NASA.

Hobsons attracted Bobby with its vibrant culture and the opportunity to work in education. When not in the office, he can usually be found with his wife and two young children. He has a passion for travel, hiking, and biking, and is always up for a good beer and an interesting conversation.

Bobby has a bachelor’s in Finance from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
