Enrollment Counselor (Oklahoma City, OK)

Job Summary

The Enrollment Counselor will serve as a representative of the client institution to prospective students interested in the contracted programs. This position will handle general recruiting and academic (transfer) advising activities as well as assist with other recruiting activities.

This position reports to the Director of Enrollment & the Associate Director of Enrollment.

We are currently hiring an Enrollment Counselor to work in our Oklahoma City, OK office.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Follow up with inquiries on a continuous basis by phone and/or written correspondence
  • Coordinate with Enrollment Management office in support of student services (Admissions, Registration, and Financial Aid)
  • Provide administrative support for the program in recruiting students as well as academic/transfer advising, including unofficial transcript evaluations for all prospective students
  • Follow Lead Policy in working with prospective students
  • Maintain competency as outlined in the Enrollment Counselor Performance Matrix
  • Spend a substantial amount of time on the telephone on a daily basis attempting to contact potential students
  • Participate in programs for self-improvement and professional development as it relates to improved conversions and customer service
  • Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned by the Director or Associate Director of Enrollment


Minimum Qualifications

An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  An example of an acceptable qualification for this position is:

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress (completion highly preferred)
  • Previous experience in Enrollment Management/Recruitment or commensurate sales experience preferred
  • Experience with enrollment or sales strongly preferred
  • Comfortability in representing non-profit/possible religious institutions in a relevant environment preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and project management
  • Ability to understand goals and conceptualize a project, formulate objectives, methodology, and conduct evaluation
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instruction ,initiative, and flexibility
  • Ability and willingness to drive to offsite locations
  • Ability to pull, grasp, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds

 

Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
